I am working on a choir arrangement for the Hungarian choir HAB, I’m looking forward to hear them singing it in Budapest end of April.
I made a new mix of the soundtrack I produced earlier this year for the video projection of Bird & Cage. This was a short video installation by Louis Bruno and Agnes Kelm, presenting the abstract idea of a bird and a cage by incorporating the works of Yayoi Kusama and Francis Bacon along the personalities of the two creators.
The originally live-performed soundtrack of Stranger premiered earlier this year is now recorded. Here goes one track as a teaser, for the rest of the soundtrack and more details about the piece check Works – Stranger | 2017 in the menu.
For the 135th anniversary of the Hungarian composer, ethnomusicologist and pedagogue Zoltán Kodály´s birthday, a four-member vocal ensemble and a solo-cellist will join CHB Orchestra. The thirteen musicians will embed Kodály´s cello sonatas and vocal pieces in an unusual contemporary musical environment with the conduction of Samu Gryllus. The concert takes place in Collegium Hungaricum Berlin on 27th October, after a 10 days preparation period in the residency program of the institute.
Performing Space is back in 2017 again, the five-days workshop provides research-based practical tools to deal with the multimedia aspect of dance and movement theatre conceptually, and in realisation of a piece. The compositional focus of the work-week facilitates the deep analysis of the architectural, sonic and emotional aspects of space for performing artists.
Performing Space is led by Emese Csornai, light designer with visual arts background, together with Gabor Csongradi musician and composer. For more info check www.emesecsornai.com.

CHB launches Compositions, a new instrumental music project as part of the Conduction Series, focusing on the CHB Orchestra´s collective music composition process with a decent part of improvisation. Each member of the orchestra brings an idea for a composition that they develop together during the one-week-long preparation process and then perform to the public. Though the Orchestra is truly international, the base for individual compositions lies in Hungarian avant-garde music traditions. On the one hand, inspiration comes from alternative works of contemporary composers of the New Music Studio such as László Sáry, Zoltán Jeney, Péter Eötvös and László Vidovszky. On the other hand the musical pieces may reference to compositions of famous classical composers like Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály or Ferenc Liszt.

I am working on producing the soundtrack for the dance piece Neutrois, choreographed by Mikel Aristegi in the ATALAK 2.0 programme of Dantzaz Company. ATALAK is an initiative of Dantzaz promoted by Donostia Kultura, that offers choreographers of the Basque Country creative residencies with its 12 dancers.
The piece seeks to see what happens if we remove the traditionally accustomed classification of male and female genders. The soundtrack was made by editing and manipulating recordings of Schubert, Gluck and Mozart pieces with the help of computer electronics. Special thanks to the consultative feedbacks of Georgi Sztojanov.
To be seen together with Heterotopía choreographed by Iker Gómez, both performed by Dantzaz Company: April 17: Dantzagunea (Errenteria), April 18: Gare du Midi – Grand Studio (Biarritz, FR), April 20: Tabakalera (San Sebastián)
